Historical Art Prints, founded in 1982, began publishing in 1984 and today represents the finest artists in their field, masters Don Troiani and sculptor Ron Tunison. We believe a limited edition is just that. Our policy strictly fixes the number of prints in an edition usually to no more than 1,500 copies. It has been our policy not to offer such "Time Limited" deals as "Subscription" and "Commission Your Own" artwork - although it would be more profitable for us - in the belief that doing so misrepresents the term "limited edition" and diminishes value. Troiani does not allow his images to be used on "novelty" items, such as greeting cards, coffee mugs, T-shirts and the like. We cut no corners, and utilize the best fine art printers with whom Troiani works closely to provide the finest reproductions possible. You'll notice that our one hundred and twenty pound acid-free art stock is much heavier than most other publishers use. As the artist/owner, Don Troiani is able to scrutinize every detail in the production of an edition to insure they meet his demanding standards. It is the policy of Historical Art Prints, as a publisher of original artworks, to sell its products only at the issue price in order to avoid the appearance of impropriety by participating in secondary market sales. If you are interested in secondary market prints, please check the list of dealers elsewhere on this page. The prices listed are an average of what our authorized dealers tell us they have sold them for. Prices may vary widely from dealer to dealer. Historical Art Prints hopes to bring collectors and connoisseurs the best in today's historical military art. We value our customers and look forward to serving them for many more years to come. Remarques are commissioned on an individual basis only. A "remarque" is an original pen and ink or pencil drawing done by the artist within the border margin in the lower corner of the print. They are available for $350.00 additional over the price of the print. Sold out prints cannot be remarqued. Artist Proof prints are occasionally available for each of our limited editions. These are separate editions of approximately 100 which have been personally examined, approved and signed by the artist. They are the personal property of the artist. When available they sell for $25.00 additional over the listed price of the regular edition print. Publisher Proof prints are regular edition prints separately numbered and lettered "PP." We do not sell these, they are given to models who posed for the artist, institutions, researchers, and preservation groups. Historic Preservation Proofs are also not sold but given to various Civil War battlefield preservation groups who sell them to raise money for saving historic sites. They are numbered and lettered "HPP." |
