For over thirty years Don Troiani has dilgently amassed one of the finest study collections of military relics relating to American History. Many of these artifacts are invaluable aids to his painting, providing a level of accuracy otherwise unachievable. This research collection covers the period of 1754-1865 . The armies of the United States and its foes are included, and much of the emphasis is placed on the everyday articles used by the common soldiers. The collection encompasses, uniforms, accouterments, weapons, insignia, artillery, musical instruments, horse equipment, buttons, personal items, and photography. The Civil War uniforms particularly, form one of the most comprehensive groupings of its kind. We have featured selected items from all these different areas to display. Artifacts will be rotated and new items added frequently, so check in often.
